Pastor's Message

MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR

Thank you for the opportunity to share with you about the ministry of the Hardin Baptist Church. God has been at work in our church for almost 100 years. God has blessed and continues to bless our church. We are excited about the work God is doing in Hardin and the surrounding area through the members and witness of Hardin Baptist Church.

My vision for Hardin Baptist Church encompasses three main priorities: to worship Christ, to walk with Christ, and to witness about Christ. The first priority is to worship our Lord. We do this through both individual and corporate worship. Psalm 95:6 says, “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”

Secondly, we are commanded to walk with our Lord. 2 Peter 1:3 says that God, “has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him (being Christ) who called us by His own glory and goodness.” While we are not a perfect church, we strive to be more and more like Christ.

Thirdly, we are to be witnesses for Christ. In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus tells us, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them ... and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded.” We believe that the Holy Spirit draws men, women, teenagers, boys, and girls to Christ. God uses imperfect people, like us, to lead people to our Lord Jesus Christ. In summary we are to worship our Lord Jesus Christ, walk with Him by His Spirit, and witness about His love to our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and others. Our desire is to witness and share with a lost world what God has done for us through His son, Jesus Christ.

We invite you to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and become a part of the work God is doing through the members of Hardin Baptist Church. If you do not have a personal relationship with Christ and are unsure of your eternal destiny, we have provided an outline of the steps to salvation on this website. If you are already saved, we invite you to have a closer walk with our Lord. We invite you to come, and celebrate with us as we worship and serve our Lord Jesus Christ. May God richly bless you!
